Cierra is a Livermore native who started her journalism career as an intern and later staff reporter for the Pleasanton Weekly after graduating from CSU Monterey Bay with a bachelor's degree in journalism and media studies. Over the last decade, Cierra has worked in print, digital media, television and radio. Upon earning a master's degree in digital communications from Syracuse University in 2020, she returned to Embarcadero Media and is now the East Bay division editor. Aside from writing, Cierra enjoys spending quality time with loved ones and her dog Bella, binging crime dramas, practicing yoga and community organizing.

City of Livermore cancels July 4 fireworks display

There will be no fire in the sky this Fourth of July in Livermore as the city announced that the annual fireworks show will be replaced by a reimagined family-friendly celebration.
